A report shows that mobile content revenues will reach more than USD1, 5 billion this year, in the U.S. alone. Onslaught of new devices, internet access, as well as the growing consumer appetite for mobile gaming, music, and video apparently triggered increased growth in the mobile content market. EMarketer predicted that this year in the U.S. mobile content industry will reach USD1, 54 billion.
“The emergence of the Apple iPad tablet computer types has been growing use of mobile broadband network. That is, consumers increasingly lax in terms of consumption election games, music and video,” said eMarketer senior analyst Noah Elkin, as quoted by Cellular News, Wednesday (09/01/2010).
eMarketer estimates that the combined revenues of the three mobile service, such as streaming subscription (streaming music and mobile TV services), direct download and pay per view (like the full song, games and TV programs), and supporting ad (in games, music and video), will reach double later in the year 2014, being approximately USD3, 53 billion.
In the U.S., the game gives the number of users and revenue in the mobile content market. Currently the number of users in the U.S. game reaches 64 million with revenue generated reached USD849 million. In addition, the number of users of video or mobile television is expected to reach 23 million, with revenue of approximately USD719 million. In 2014 mobile video revenue will reach USD1, 3 billion.
